The Columbia Sailing School provides need-based scholarships and grants to Chicago-area youth to participate in sailing programs and compete in various regattas. For many families, this financial support makes a key difference in their child’s ability to participate in the sport. Youth sailors wishing to apply for needs-based scholarships can apply by filling out this application which will be used by the School’s Scholarship Committee to evaluate candidates. It should be completed by the applicant and/or his or her family. Responses will be reviewed by the Scholarship Committee and the information herein will be used solely for the purpose of evaluating applicants and will be kept confidential. Applicants may be expected to prepare additional materials to support their candidacy. Applications are reviewed periodically the Scholarship Committee during the year.
