NOTICE OF RACE Skyline Regatta 2017 Location: Columbia Yacht Club, Chicago, IL 111 N. Lake Shore Dr. Chicago, IL 60601 Dates: August 8-9, 2017 Rules: This regatta will be governed by the current Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS), the prescriptions of US SAILING, the class associations, and the sailing instructions. Format: This event will be a BYOB Club 420 (trapeze and spinnaker), 420 Division, Laser, Laser Radial, Optimist Combined, and Optimist Green. Because the event is two days in length, the courses may be longer than most one-day regattas with no maximum number of races set. A minimum of one race is required for a regatta. Boat Delivery: It is requested that all boats be delivered to Columbia Yacht Club prior to 5PM on Monday the 7th. If this is not possible or you would like to arrive earlier, please contact Katie (katie@colyc.org). Schedule: August 8th 2017 0730 Registration 0830 Launch Boats 0900 Skippers Meeting 1000 First Start 1200 Lunch on the water, BRING YOUR OWN LUNCH 1700 No race to start after 1700 August 9th 2017 0830 Launch Boats 0900 Skippers Meeting 1000 First start 1200 Lunch on the water, BRING YOUR OWN LUNCH 1500 No race to start after 1500 Entry Fee: $15.00 per sailor. Sailing Instructions: Available at event. Lunch: BRING YOUR OWN. Awards: First through third for each fleet. Parking: Parking is available at DuSable Harbor Parking lot under Lake Shore Drive at Randolph Street for $20.00 per day. Trailers can be stored here as well at no charge but we have limited space.
